Milli-on: The Gumi modified CR-8000 was used in a recent round of studio sketches by Electrodactyl. In addition to the Gumi CR-8000, this track features a Juno 60 and a Sequential Circuits MultiTrak. The cricket sound was produced by velocity programming the Rim Shot.

Bench Test: This is the test track I recorded from the bench once I finally got the machine put back together. It was sequenced with a 1 bar MIDI loop (oh, you couldn’t tell?) from Ableton Live and the triggers were muted using the front panel switches. This is the raw audio straight from the individual outs, so yeah, no fancy stuff there. The 4×4 kick drum is from the low tom. The bass drum decay mod can be heard on the offbeats. The ‘boost’ mods can be heard best in the congas starting around 3:00 and later in the low tom and hi hats. Boom boom boom boom…yeah, I know…

More to come…
